1958 W121 Mercedes-Benz 190SL

This car left factory as Grey DB125 “Perlgrau” but the owner always wanted a white car therefore he chose to use the products made by Glasso which is the original paint manufacturer.
Original documentation shows DB125 Pearl Grey for the lower portion of the car and DB190 Graphite Grey for the hardtop.

European “coupe” model, shipped to the Munich branch, then has been sold to France before being imported to the East Coast of the U.S. The owner aquired the Benz in 2002 and had it shipped from New York to California which it spent the remainder of its life.

Original options:
· Coupe Seats
· Jump Seat
· European Bosch headlamps not seal beam (not called out on the certificate but would have been original equipment for European models)
· Tri color tail lights (not called out on the certificate but would have been original equipment for European models)
· Steering wheel lock
· Locking trunk, glovebox and tank cap
· White wall tires

It has been enjoyed for about 2 years in original shape before stripping it down to bare metal for restoration performed by PAR in Placerville, CA. The process was comprehensive and it took around 8 years to complete before I finally having it back on the road There are still some finishing touches that need to be completed.

Here is a short list of what has been replaced with new parts during restoration:

· Brake booster
· Gas tank
· Stainless steel exhaust system
· Brake lines
· White wall Tires
· Convertible Top
· Windshield
· Leather Interior
· Rocker Trim (yet to be installed)
· Eyebrow trim (yet to be installed)
· All chrome has been rechromed (front bumper drivers side needs to be rechromed)
· Clock
· Seat Belts (not original but matching red with chrome buckles)
· Seats Heaters (Not original and unnoticed since it’s under the leather and very nice on a chilly day)
· Weather stripping all the way around
· New grill barrel and some new grill pieces, others have been rechromed
· Electric fuel pump installed (not original)
· New rear European lenses (not installed, the ones on the car are fine to me, with a couple cracks)
· Used radio which should be correct for the car (not installed, it had a cassette radio which I removed to ensure the dash was not cut up beyond the point of accepting the original radio, which it’s not)
· New external mirrors, I have both sides (not installed, Honestly when I drive the car it’s with the top down and I look around anyway to be safe so I probably wouldn't trust a mirror)
· Stone guards have been rechromed and need to be installed
· Nose panel
· Headlight buckets
· Floors
· Spare tire wells
· Both full Rear quarters
· Door sills
· Inner wheel wells
· Splash guards
· Both front fenders
· Trunk extensions
· Rebuild speedometer
· Some new interior chrome
· Carpet
· Gas can

Lots of parts to be included for the car such as tool roll, jack, spare tire holder, Bosch horns, sun visors, extra emblems, two sets of fog lights (yellow and clear), a box of hubcaps, front turn signal lenses, U.S. and Euro headlamps, U.S. and Euro tail lamps. Always good to keep spares, or sell what you want.

The car comes from a private collection where the cars are worth a considerable amount, the vehicle has never been neglected nor stored outside. We have been tasked with the mission of finding a new custodian therefore expectations are high when it comes to finding a new owner.

All our cars are delivered with fresh fluid change, tuneup and a list of recommendations for better preserving the car in the future.
