1968 Lancia Fulvia Sport 1.3 S Zagato

The 1968 Lancia Fulvia Sport 1.3 S Zagato, for those who don't know, is a classic Italian sports car that exudes elegance and performance. With its sleek and aerodynamic design crafted by Zagato, this car is a true masterpiece. Every curve and line on the exterior is thoughtfully designed to create a beautiful blend of form and function.

Under the hood, this Fulvia Sport is powered by a 1.3-liter V4 engine, delivering a thrilling driving experience. The engine is known for its smooth power delivery and a satisfying exhaust note, further adding to the overall appeal of this classic beauty. All though this is a small displacement engine, it compensates with its light body and good dynamic chassis offering a very well balanced little sports car.

The interior of the car is equally impressive, with attention to detail evident in every aspect. The cabin features well-bolstered sport seats upholstered in high-quality leather or fabric, offering optimal comfort during long drives. The dashboard is adorned with a combination of luxurious wood veneers and brushed aluminum accents, bringing a touch of sophistication to the cockpit.

As a desirable European import, this Lancia Fulvia Sport has two previous owners, adding to its provenance and historical significance. It comes with a comprehensive service history and has been meticulously maintained over the years, ensuring its reliability and exceptional condition.

These operations have been done every other year:
- air filter
- oil filtre
- fluid replacing (including brake fluid)

Whether it's carving through winding roads or cruising along scenic routes, the 1968 Lancia Fulvia Sport 1.3 S Zagato combines its sporty nature with timeless design, making it a sought-after collector's item among automotive enthusiasts.

The current owner bought the car in late 2013, drove it for a bit but decided to park it in his garage as some things were not quite right. In 2014 the car went to a specialist for some verifications, then the car has been parked again, while awaiting for parts. In 2015 everything was together and the following have been done:

- windscreen wiper blades, adjusting the motors and screenwash bottle has been secured;
- new trac rods;
- new carburator rebuild parts;
- brand new fuel lines;
- the fuel tank has been cleaned;
- calipers have been lubricated; - brake master cylinder;
- brake pedal master switch;
- Emergency brake pads;
- central steering link;
- hood release cable;
- battery cable has been replaced and fitted into position along with a brand new battery;
- generator has been cleaned & checked for correct power output;
- exhaust system bolts, gaskets and brackets (it was leaking at some point);
- has been serviced as it wasn't working properly. It has been disassmbled, cleaned and refited together.
- passenger door was stuck, it had to be opened, the mechanism cleaned and greased;
- engine tuneup inluding distributor cap removal and cleaned/refitted to gap; the spark plug electrodes have been re-gap.
- building a mounting bracket on frame to take Hella Marine battery switch with detachable key;
- brand new tires have been fitted;
- the wheel paint has been touched up;
- the light switch has been removed, cleaned from oxidation, greased with di-electric grease and fitted back;
- brand new ground wires have been installed towards the headlights.

Needles to say that these operations brought the car back to its former glory and it has been enjoyed ever since.
